Ethiopia is selected as the top destination in 2015 by European Council on Tourism and Trade for its spectacular landscape, beautiful wildlife, dramatic nature and ancient local culture. According to the Ethiopian Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the visitor numbers are growing by 10% each year, while the income of its tourism sector is growing by 20% annually. While looking at the economic benefits of tourism brought to some countries, we should also be concerned about the substantial impacts over the local communities. The government should develop tourism industry in a sustainable way.
