The room price does not reflect well the real cost at checkout. Effectively some hotel perks worth a lot. For example, while going on family vacation for a week, hotels with “free breakfast” might easily save few hundred bucks. Even better, some hotels offer free “snacks & drinks” around 5-6pm, which is generally called “evening social reception”, “happy hour” etc. It offers a good occasion to relax, an opportunity to meet new friends, or to mingle with friends and family before heading for dinner. Here, we list out some hotel chains that offer free evening reception.
There are hotels hold complimentary evening social reception for guests to relax and meet. Depending upon the hotel category, the reception style could differ. The Library Collection Hotels – Library Hotel New York, Hotel Giraffe New York, Hotel Elysée New York, Casablanca Hotel New York, Aria Hotel Prague and Aria Hotel Budapest also offer a selection of Prosecco, fine wines, imported and domestic cheeses, fresh bread, crackers, and crudités. The world’s first Virgin Hotel in Chicago offers free cocktails daily at happy hour 6-7 pm. Kimpton Hotels host wine hour every day from 5-6 pm. The complimentary Evening Reception features free snacks and beverages for guests is held nightly at every Embassy Suites by Hilton.
Both Hyatt House and Homewood Suites by Hilton offer free Evening Social Monday through Thursday with a succulent spread of cheeses, savory bites, including complimentary wine and beer. Staybridge Suites by IHG also offer the social evening reception from Tuesdays through Thursdays. Please note some properties might have certain house rules that differ from the chain policy.
