The Disposable Society: A Place To Live?

While aesthetics over function and greed over environmental safety, things are produced to be thrown away. We dump 41.8 million tonnes of "e-waste" around the world in 2014 and only 6.5 million tonnes were taken for recycling.
While aesthetics over function and greed over environmental safety, things are produced to be thrown away. We dump 41.8 million tonnes of “e-waste” around the world in 2014 and only 6.5 million tonnes were taken for recycling.

We live in a disposable society where everything is produced and gets thrown away, from disposable diapers, disposable crockery, and disposable packaging. Lots of products are made for one-time-use, and only few products made to last. Profit-oriented companies market to create unnecessary needs, at the same time, they plan obsolescence while designing a product, which means the  products got an artificially limited useful life.

We throw so much away. The resources come from the planet and from future generations’ lives. Buying products from the ethical companies, fixing instead of throwing, reusing, reducing, and recycling can help you, your community to save money, energy, and natural resources.

Our little efforts make big differences! 😉
